What are Secure Emails?

Secure (encrypted) emails encode sensitive data, creating an information barrier that prevents unauthorized recipients from accessing the message.

Opening Secure Emails Sent from Auris

1. Email(s) Received – You will receive two emails the first time you are sent something securely from Auris: (1) A one-time setup request of your ShareFile account, and (2) a secure file notification.

2. Set up ShareFile Account – If this is your first time receiving something securely, you will be prompted to set up a ShareFile account, including a password and Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) to view future secure emails. You can use an authenticator app or a phone number for MFA.

3. MFA Code Sent & Log In – You will receive the MFA code either via phone or authenticator application (based on your selection) and enter it to log into the site. You will be taken to this page to select the inbox button.

4. Open Secure Email – Select the message here from your ShareFile inbox to view.
