Once your Payroll Integrations connection is live, there's very little you need to do on an ongoing basis. Here's a breakdown of what happens automatically and who to reach out to if you ever have a question.
What Happens Automatically
Every time you run payroll in Auris, the integration takes care of the following without any action from you:
- Retirement contribution and deferral data are sent to your recordkeeper
- Employee census updates (new hires, terminations, status changes) sync to the recordkeeper
- Loan repayment amounts are transmitted
- If an employee changes their deferral rate or enrollment through the recordkeeper's portal, that change flows back to Auris in time for the next payroll
No action needed: You don't need to export files, log in to your retirement portal, or re-enter contribution data. It happens in the background every payroll cycle.
What You May Still Need to Do
There are a few things that still require a manual update in your Auris account:
- Setting up a new retirement deduction for a new employee
- Correcting a deduction amount if the wrong rate was entered in Auris
- Removing a deduction for a terminated employee if it wasn't caught before payroll ran
These are standard payroll maintenance tasks; the integration doesn't change how they work, it just handles the data transmission once your records are accurate in Auris.
Who to Contact If Something Looks Off
Payroll Integrations monitors every sync and handles most support. If you notice anything unexpected, such as contributions not posting, deferral changes not showing up, or connection errors, your first call should be to your Payroll Integrations contact or your recordkeeper.
