Setup is a one-time connection process. Once it's complete and the integration is live, most routine retirement data syncs run each payroll cycle automatically. Here's what to expect.
Before You Get Started
To connect, you'll need:
- An active Auris Payroll account with setup complete and at least one payroll already processed
- A retirement plan with a supported recordkeeper
- Auris online account activated for the person who will authorize the connection
The Connection Process
There are four steps; most of the heavy lifting is handled by Payroll Integrations and your recordkeeper. Here's the full picture:
While your payroll account is being set up, or after you have your Auris login
Reach out to your retirement provider and let them know you'd like to set up a 360 integration through Payroll Integrations. If you need help getting started, PI can provide an email template or help confirm the setup requirements.
Once you’ve activated your Auris Payroll Access, watch for an invite
Once your Auris Payroll account is activated, you'll receive an email invite to link Auris and Payroll Integrations. This may come from PI, your financial advisor, or your TPA. Please wait until you’ve activated your Auris Payroll account access, then click the link to set up the connection in the next step.
Review and approve the permissions
The invite will ask you to confirm your recordkeeper name and plan ID, then approve PI to sync your earnings, deductions, and employee elections. This gives PI permission to exchange the retirement data needed for the integration. It does not change your payroll setup.
Select Auris and authorize
Select "Auris" as your payroll provider, log in with your Auris credentials, and authorize the connection. Depending on your recordkeeper, there may be a brief step to validate test results before everything goes live. Once validation is complete, the connection will be ready for use.
That's it! After Step 4, the integration is live. Census updates, retirement deferrals, and loan repayments sync automatically every payroll cycle from that point forward.
